Sports injuries can be caused by an accident, such as a fall or a heavy blow to the body, not warming up properly before exercise, poor technique, or pushing yourself too hard.
Almost any part of the body can sustain a sports injury, including muscles, joints tendons, and ligaments. Ankles, shoulders, and knees are particularly prone to injury. You may notice pain, swelling, bruising, or restricted movement, and stiffness in the injured area. Sometimes the injury will keep re-occurring when you try the same movement again.
